Lippert Components Plant 203 announces ISO 9001:2008 certification
Elkhart, Ind. — Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI®) announced today its Plant 203 facility in Double Springs, AL, received ISO 9001:2008 certification for fabrication and assembly of windows for commercial vehicle applications from Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc.
“We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our processes to provide the highest quality products and limit waste at every facility,” says Andy Pocock, LCI Vice President of Specialty Market Sales. “Seeking this certification at Plant 203 was a natural next step to verify our quality management system and to show we are committed to customer satisfaction.”
This certification shows that Plant 203 has successfully implemented a robust quality management system to guide and govern operations from top to bottom. To receive ISO 9001:2008 certification, the Plant 203 team had to establish and document procedures focused on process documentation, defect prevention, waste minimization and customer satisfaction.
“This certification is another way we ensure our windows and doors customers continue to receive the very best in quality and service,” says Pocock. “It demonstrates a high commitment to quality throughout product development, manufacture and delivery.”
The following LCI facilities have also received ISO 9001:2008 certification:
- Plant 73 in Granby, Quebec, and Plant 74 in Gaffney, SC, received ISO 9001:2008 certification from Intertek for all window and door product design and manufacture including sash windows, emergency push-out windows, entrance doors, tempered glass and their subcomponents for the recreational vehicle industry, emergency vehicles, educational vehicles, agriculture vehicles, military vehicles, commercial transportation and the automotive industry.
- Plant 75 in Springfield, TN, received ISO 9001:2008 certification from NSF International Strategic Registrations for the design and manufacture of windows, windshields and doors for off-highway and on-highway vehicles and the ability to sell tempered glass.
- Plant 241 in Waxahachie, TX, received ISO 9001:2008 certification from BSI Management Systems America, Inc. for the design, development, manufacture, sale and distribution of deep drawn heavy gauge thermoformed plastic products, assemblies and components. These products, assemblies and components include shower stalls, bathtubs and related products supporting the manufactured housing industry as well as custom manufacture thermoformed plastic products for other industries and markets.
