Lippert Components® agrees to purchase replacement glass assets from Atwood Mobile Products
Elkhart, IN -- Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI®) has agreed to acquire the remaining inventory and replacement glass assets of Atwood Mobile Products, a subsidiary of the Dometic Group. Atwood’s replacement glass business will be transferred to LCI’s Duncan Systems division, located at 29391 Old US Highway 33 in Elkhart. LCI has also acquired the rights to easyrvwindows.com, Atwood’s online ordering website that allows customers to easily configure replacement windows for RVs.
“For more than 25 years, Duncan Systems has been a leading replacement glass provider in the RV and heavy trucking industries,” said Scott Mereness, President of LCI. “When Atwood decided to terminate its replacement glass business, it was a logical move for LCI to purchase their remaining assets and integrate them into our current infrastructure at Duncan.”
Brent Watson, President of Duncan Systems, is excited for the added opportunities. “We service a wide variety of glass and body shops, dealers and insurance companies already. The Atwood replacement window business is a natural fit for us. We look forward to providing a high level of service to Atwood’s former customer base that current Duncan customers have enjoyed for many years.”
