Project 2000 EuroLoft™ bed lift system popular among U.S. RV OEMs

July 28, 2016

Elkhart, Ind. — Tiffin Motorhomes is the latest in a long line of U.S. motorhome manufacturers to incorporate Lippert Components’ EuroLoft bed lift system into their floor plan designs. Winnebago, Jayco, Thor, REV, Forest River Georgetown, Dynamax, Coachmen and Foretravel are among the gas and diesel motorhome OEMs already using the system produced by Lippert Components’ Italy-based operation, Project 2000.

In the U.S. and Canada, some class B and C motorhomes, as well as some truck converters, are also using the EuroLoft bed lifts, following suit with the European, Australian and other international RV manufacturers that have been including them for almost a decade.

“The EuroLoft bed lift utilizes a nylon strap system operated by a single, nearly silent motor that controls four support mounts to raise and lower the sleeping platform,” said Marty McManus, LCI’s Director of Motorized RV Sales. “The nylon straps retract into the bed base, completely concealing the lifting system while in the retracted position against the ceiling, permitting OEMs more flexibility with floor plan design.”

The 880-pound capacity system can be customized in both size and configuration and is adaptable to a broad range of RV applications including cabs, patios, living rooms, slide-out rooms, bedrooms and even garages, as well as custom configurations. There are also expandable, tilting and hinged versions to conform to sloped ceilings and other design needs.

“U.S. OEMs have really begun to take notice of the EuroLoft’s innovative design and practical, space-saving functionality,” said Jason Lippert, CEO of Lippert Components and Drew Industries. “International RV manufacturers have been using this bed lift system for years. We are excited to see Project 2000’s product innovations gain traction among U.S. OEMs.”

As the 2016 expo season approaches, the attention is turning to fifth-wheel and towable travel trailer manufacturers who are considering the benefits of the EuroLoft bed lift system for 2017 and 2018 model years.
