Lippert Components promotes Josh Black, John Ries to General Manager positions

Elkhart, Ind. — Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI^®) has announced the promotions of Josh Black and John Ries to General Manager positions within the Company.

Josh Black was promoted to General Manager of LCI Plant 58, managing the Company’s Awning, Lamination and Patio Door operations, while John Ries has been promoted to General Manager at Plant 45, managing the Company’s Axles and Slide-Out operations.

“Josh has been a steady force with our record growth in Laminated Products and was instrumental in organizing capacity to handle the industries trajectory,” commented Steve Jenkins, LCI’s Vice President of Operations. “Josh embodies our Company’s Core Values and has earned the trust of his fellow co-workers with his integrity and actions over these last few years. Josh’s excitement and positive attitude are a testament to the entire team and what they are accomplishing. I am excited to see Josh bring the team into its next growth phase with the new building acquisition and all the new automation projects that are in the works.”

Black began his career with LCI more than six years ago through the Company’s Leadership in Training program. For the past two years, he was Assistant General Manager for laminated products at Plant 58 in Elkhart. “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to lead such a great and dynamic team. Our focus on not only business growth but the growth of our team members who will undoubtedly continue to drive the plant for years to come,” said Black.

As the GM of Plant 45, Ries will focus the Plant 45 team on team retention, leadership development, growth, new product release, safety, new lean layouts, automation, and quality improvements.

“John has created excellent business units where he helps detail and structure our teams to succeed. Through his leadership, we have become industry leaders in Awning, Baggage, Entry, and Ramp Door Sales. I am excited to see John refresh Plant 45’s operations with his high energy and to see him form solid relationships with all team members,” commented Steve Jenkins, Vice President of Operations at LCI.

Ries has nearly 30 years of operations and plant management experience and more than eight years of national and international operational experience within the RV industry across a broad range of product lines from axles, brakes, chassis, slide outs, awnings, and doors. In his new role, Ries will continue to focus on operational teams and their processes, calling on his well-rounded understanding of customer requirements as well as the dedicated teams to deliver quality products through efficient processes.
