Taylor Made acquires 80,000-square-foot building to expand distribution and manufacturing footprint
Johnstown, NY. — Taylor Made Group, LLC (“Taylor Made”), a Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI®) company, announces today that Taylor Made has acquired the 80,000-square-foot facility formerly owned by Swany America Corporation (“Swany”) in Johnstown, New York. Taylor Made’s purchase will allow the Company to relocate its distribution and shipping operations to the new facility. In addition, Swany will continue to occupy a portion of the building through a leaseback with Taylor Made.
Taylor Made’s distribution operations will be transitioned from Taylor Made’s Harrison Street facility, a 120,000-square-foot building located less than a mile from the Swany building, to the Swany building. This will allow Taylor Made to utilize the Harrison Street facility for additional growth within the marine manufacturing marketplace.
The Harrison Street building will now be dedicated to future manufacturing expansion, either through organic business growth or as additional marine accessory manufacturers join the Taylor Made brand.
